Yes it has been a while, as they say, “life gets in the way” I moved to a rugged east coast beach settlement, in the North Island of New Zealand. Population 49, there are of course more people in the summer. The nearest shops, doctors, etc are about an hour away.
Its great, I love it.

Lake Wairarapa is situated in the southern part of the North Island, New Zealand. It is home to many species of birds. Many more stop for a visit, on their way to somewhere else. If you get up early enough, amazing sunrises can be seen.

I recently visited Hokio Beach, Levin, North Island, New Zealand. The light was too harsh for any landscape photography but the light and shadows cast on the dunes and grasses, made for some interesting abstract photography.
Perfect timing, reflections, and the angle of the sun, helped create this image of this duck floating on golden coloured water.
