“Just Do It” What’s the worst that can happen?

The bird in this photo only had one leg, I watched as it precariously balanced on it, then lifted its wings and flew away. It had to adapt, in order to survive.

You may well ask, what has this got to do with photography? Well, I often get asked about the camera and equipment I use and I say, “its not the camera that takes the photos, its me.”

You can have the best gear money can buy but it doesn’t mean it will make you a great photographer. The equipment you have is just that, it’s a tool that can aid you in your craft.

So when I hear others, put people down because they don’t have the “right gear” it does make me annoyed.

If you want to give photography go, then “just do it” with whatever camera you have. What’s the worst that can happen? Learn how to use it, create your own style, showcase the world through your eyes and remember not every photo, will be a keeper but most of all, have fun.

I know it can be hard sometimes, not to compare yourself to others. Don’t let that little voice inside your head hold you back. The one that says, “I am not good enough” That along with negativity or a bad experience, can be a real downer.

These are the very same things that can hold you back in your everyday life as well, if you let them. Its easy to get stuck in a rut and not to move forward, trust me I know.

So, “Just do it” take that first step, what’s the worse that can happen? Your camera dies from over use?
