On the road between Woodville and Pahiatua, there is a road bridge you have to cross, I have been trying for sometime to take a photo of it, while the fog/mist was still around. I finally got lucky.
Herbertville is a special place, there is always something new to see, with its stunning scenery, dunes, hills and long sandy beach. It is a little bit of paradise, tucked away in the Tararua District. The high tide and river, created this amazing scene.
I love the way the colours and light meld into each other and the way the clouds float around the wind turbines.
You can often hear these bird but they can be very hard to spot, I was very lucky to see this one in the Ashhurst Domain. If you would like to find out more about the Shining Cuckoo visit: New Zealand Birds online
