Lake Wairarapa is situated in the southern part of the North Island, New Zealand. It is home to many species of birds. Many more stop for a visit, on their way to somewhere else. If you get up early enough, amazing sunrises can be seen.

I recently visited Hokio Beach, Levin, North Island, New Zealand. The light was too harsh for any landscape photography but the light and shadows cast on the dunes and grasses, made for some interesting abstract photography.
On the road between Woodville and Pahiatua, there is a road bridge you have to cross, I have been trying for sometime to take a photo of it, while the fog/mist was still around. I finally got lucky.
Herbertville is a special place, there is always something new to see, with its stunning scenery, dunes, hills and long sandy beach. It is a little bit of paradise, tucked away in the Tararua District. The high tide and river, created this amazing scene.
